Asante Kotoko's head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, described their 1-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea as a "very physical" match.
The game, held at Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday, saw Daniel Adjetey score the decisive goal in the 79th minute.
Ogum noted that Chelsea's aggressive approach, utilizing long balls, made the match challenging, leading to physical demands on players with frequent aerial duels and tackles.
Despite the tough conditions, Kotoko secured their sixth consecutive unbeaten league game, extending their record with four wins and two draws.
The team remains at the top of the league table with 45 points, ahead of Bibiani GoldStars by one point.
Their next match will be away against third-place Heart of Lions.
