‘It wasn’t easy’ – Nations FC defender Razak Simpson speaks on debut Black Stars appearance

Razak Simpson, a Nations FC center-back, reflected on his emotional debut for the Black Stars during Ghana's final two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Speaking to Akoma FM, he recounted the life-changing moment when coach Otto Addo informed him of his selection.

“When I got the call, I knelt down and thanked God for fulfilling my dream,” he said. Simpson admitted the immense pressure of wearing the Black Stars jersey, describing it as a heavy but motivating experience.

Acknowledging the challenges, he emphasized his determination to improve and secure future call-ups.

“This is what I chose to do, so I had to put everything aside and play,” Simpson shared, reaffirming his dedication to personal growth and contributing to Ghana's national team.
