Former Black Maidens coach Robert Sackey has urged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to dismiss Black Stars head coach Otto Addo, citing his inexperience as a hindrance to Ghana's ambitions of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
Sackey's comments come after Addo failed to lead the Black Stars to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), intensifying calls for his removal. Sackey believes that a more experienced technical team is necessary to achieve better results and improve Ghana’s prospects.
Addo is set to meet the GFA Executive Council on November 27, 2024, to present his technical report on the failed AFCON qualifiers.
The Council is expected to make a decisive ruling on his future, which could shape the team’s path forward.
