Ivy Heward-Mills, widow of the late Abuakwa North MP J.B. Danquah-Adu, has criticized Ghana’s Parliament for its silence on her husband's unresolved murder.
Danquah-Adu was killed in his home in 2016, but nearly nine years later, the case remains unresolved despite multiple arrests and court proceedings.
In a social media post, she called out Speaker Alban Bagbin, Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, and all MPs for their inaction.
Comparing Ghana’s slow response to the swift conviction of British MP Jo Cox’s killer in 2016, she lamented the lack of justice.
She stressed that while justice cannot bring back her husband, it would provide much-needed closure for her and their children.
