Ja Rule's 'forgotten' collabs with Tinny and Morris Babyface surface after interview

American rapper Ja Rule recently visited Ghana. During his visit, he shared an interesting story about a past collaboration. He recorded a song with a Ghanaian musician over ten years ago. However, he couldn't remember the artist's name.

In an interview with JoyNews’ Jacqueline Ansomah Yeboah, he discussed this collaboration. He said, "It's funny to say I did a record long ago." He added that they recorded in a local studio and it was great.

Ja Rule noted the rise of Afrobeats worldwide. He expressed interest in collaborating with more Ghanaian musicians in the future.

Shortly after his interview, an old video surfaced online. It featured Ghanaian rapper Tinny and Ja Rule in a studio session. They had worked on a song called "Good Time Rules." This project was initiated by Tinny's record label, Maddhaus Entertainment.

At that time, Tinny was at the height of his career. He had hits like "Makola Kwakwe," "Anaconda," and "Ringtone." Despite their efforts, the song was never officially released.

Tinny spoke about this during an interview on YFM in 2015. He explained that he didn't own the rights to the song. The rights belonged to Maddhaus Entertainment.

He said, "I did that record when I was with Maddhaus Entertainment." Tinny mentioned that they would decide whether to release it or not.

Ja Rule came to Ghana and met with Tinny's management team. They played him some of Tinny's records, which he loved. That's when they decided to collaborate on "Good Time Rules."

Tinny added, "I have it but I don't own it so I won't drop it." He also mentioned that he has moved on from that project.

Meanwhile, another song featuring Ja Rule has surfaced online. This track is by Morris Babyface and dates back to 2009.
