Jay Q appreciates Randy Abbey for supporting his music career 

Legendary Ghanaian music producer Jeff Quaye, known as Jay Q, shared his early support. He spoke about this on Joy FM's Showbiz A-Z on March 22, 2025.

Jay Q expressed gratitude for individuals who helped him in his career. He mentioned Randy Abbey as a key supporter.

“In 2003, after winning my award, I went to Warehouse club,” he recalled. “Randy Abbey approached me and said he appreciated my work.”

Randy pledged to help Jay Q with anything he needed for his music business.

Jay Q noted that many Ga creatives struggle for support. However, some Ga individuals are doing well and deserve recognition.

He also thanked music producer David Affotey Laryea (Apor) for his support. Apor has helped not only Ga artists but many in the creative industry.

During the show, broadcaster OB Nartey urged more people to invest in Ga talents.

The discussion celebrated the contributions of the Ga people to the creative economy. It was part of Joy FM's Ghana Month celebration.

Two weeks prior, Showbiz A-Z hosted a durbar at Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. This event focused on the history and traditions of the Ga people.
