Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp played a key role in Celtic’s 5-2 victory over St. Mirren in the Scottish Premiership. Schlupp opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a low shot, but St. Mirren equalized through Declan John’s free-kick.
Celtic regained the lead after halftime with an Arne Engels penalty, only for Killian Phillips to level the match again. However, late goals from Yang Hyun-Jun and Daizen Maeda secured Celtic’s win.
Schlupp also provided an assist for Hyun-Jun’s second goal in stoppage time. Since joining from Crystal Palace, Schlupp has now registered two goal involvements.
The victory strengthens Celtic’s lead at the top of the league as they prepare for their next match against Hibernian at Celtic Park.
