18-year-old Jerry Afriyie is set to be included in Ghana's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar in March.
The talented player, currently with Thoughts FC, impressed coach Otto Addo during his senior national team debut, scoring in a 1-1 draw against Niger.
Afriyie has been a standout performer, earning a golden boot at the WAFU B Championship and winning a gold medal with Ghana's U-20 team at the African Games.
Addo is keen to give him a prominent role in the upcoming qualifiers. The Black Stars, who failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, face crucial matches to revive their World Cup hopes.
