Joao Felix to undergo medical as Chelsea departure agreed

João Félix is set to undergo a medical with AC Milan after agreeing to a loan move from Chelsea. The 25-year-old had joined Chelsea last summer from Atlético Madrid for £42m, following a prior loan spell, but has struggled for consistent minutes under head coach Enzo Maresca.

Milan, who have been interested in Félix throughout the January transfer window, will cover his full wage and pay Chelsea a €5.5m (£4.5m) loan fee. Félix's departure opens up Chelsea’s final overseas loan spot, with Deivid Washington and Carney Chukwuemeka also moving on loan.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are close to signing 19-year-old midfielder Mathis Amougou from Saint-Étienne for €15m (£12.5m).
