Ghanaian international Jordan Ayew praised his Leicester City teammates despite their 3-1 loss to Liverpool.
Leicester initially led through Ayew's early goal, but Liverpool came back strong, with goals from Cody Gakpo, Curtis Jones, and Mohamed Salah securing their win. Ayew acknowledged the team's struggles in the second half, saying, “We need to adjust better. We started the second half not too well because they were on top of us. We could’ve done better decisions as a team, but we will learn from this key moment.
Overall, I’m proud of the boys, I’m proud of the fighting spirit, the character and the mentality, if we keep on like this, we will be fine in the league.” Ayew has been a standout for Leicester, scoring five goals in 20 appearances.
