Italy midfielder Jorginho has joined Brazilian club Flamengo. He left Arsenal after his contract ended.
The 33-year-old was set to leave the Gunners on June 30. However, Arsenal and Jorginho agreed to end his contract early.
This allowed him to move to Flamengo. The club announced his signing on Friday. Flamengo will compete in the FIFA Club World Cup starting June 14 in the United States.
Jorginho joined Chelsea from Napoli in 2018. During his time at Stamford Bridge, he won several titles, including the Champions League and Europa League.
He moved to Arsenal in January 2023 and made 78 appearances for the team.
Arsenal thanked Jorginho for his contributions and wished him well for the future.
