Joseph Paintsil opens up on twin sister's influence in LA Galaxy move ahead of MLS Cup final

Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil revealed that his twin sister, Josephine, played a key role in his decision to join MLS side LA Galaxy, a move that has proven successful as he inspired the team to the 2024 MLS Cup final.

Paintsil explained that he always consults his sister on major decisions due to their close bond, saying, “We are connected, and whatever she says aligns with my spirit.”

Despite hopes in Ghana that he would stay in Europe after excelling with KRC Genk, Josephine encouraged him to move to the United States.

Paintsil expressed gratitude for the decision, which has helped him thrive in LA Galaxy's historic quest for a sixth MLS Cup title. The final pits Galaxy against New York Red Bulls.
