Joyce Annor Yeboah appointed Deputy General Manager of Juventus Academy Ghana, SMAC SC, and SMAC Sports Center

Joyce Annor Yeboah, known as Afia Empress, has a new role. She is now the Deputy General Manager of Juventus Academy Ghana, SMAC SC, and SMAC Sports Center. This follows her inspiring journey from footballer to sports journalist and coach.

“Football has always been my first love,” Joyce says. Her playing career ended due to health issues. She then moved into sports journalism at Angel FM’s sports desk.

While studying Public Relations at UniMAC-IJ, Joyce earned her CAF License D coaching course with the GFA. She coached the Thunder Queens during the 2022/23 season to gain experience. In January 2025, she completed her CAF License C course.

After two successful seasons at Juventus Academy Ghana, Joyce's leadership was recognized. This led to her appointment as Deputy General Manager.

“I’m grateful for the trust they’ve placed in me,” she states. “I’m excited to contribute to football's growth in Ghana.”

As Deputy General Manager, Joyce plans to develop new talent strategies. She aims to inspire the next generation of football players in Ghana and beyond.
