Jude Bellingham has shared that the word "Remontada" has been buzzing around the Real Madrid locker room ahead of their Champions League quarter-final second leg against Arsenal.
The Spanish giants are facing a massive challenge after a 3-0 loss at the Emirates last week, with two brilliant free-kicks from Declan Rice leaving them with an uphill battle. However, Bellingham and his teammates are rallying around the word "Remontada," which symbolizes an epic comeback.
"Honestly, I’ve heard it about a million times since last week," said Bellingham. "It’s really motivating stuff."
The term "Remontada" gained global fame after Barcelona’s legendary comeback against PSG in 2017, and now it has become a symbol of belief for the Real Madrid squad.
Bellingham also noted the trust in their team's abilities, saying, "It’s a nice feeling. It means there is a lot of trust in the talent. We want to deliver on what everyone thinks we can do."
Real Madrid's coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has also embraced the "Remontada" mindset. "We will try until the last minute," he assured, calling on his players to show resilience, while stressing the importance of both mental and physical determination.
With the Bernabeu expecting a fierce atmosphere on Wednesday, Bellingham and his teammates are fully focused on overturning the 3-0 deficit and keeping their hopes of a comeback alive.
