KGL Group renews GHs20m 2-year sponsorship Agreement with GFA under auspices of Sports Ministry

KGL Group, a leading Ghanaian conglomerate, has reaffirmed its commitment to sports. The company signed a two-year sponsorship agreement worth GHS 20 million with the Ghana Football Association (GFA). This deal aims to support the Black Stars.

This partnership responds to calls from national leaders for corporate involvement in sports. Hon. Kofi Adams, Minister of Sports and Recreation, has been a strong advocate for this initiative. President John Dramani Mahama also urged corporate Ghana to support the Black Stars.

At the signing ceremony, KGL Group's Executive Chairman, Mr. Alex Apau Dadey, spoke about the importance of this agreement. He emphasized that it goes beyond mere corporate sponsorship or social responsibility. “Sports is a fundamental force for national transformation,” he stated.

Mr. Dadey expressed pride in contributing to Ghana's sporting journey. He thanked key figures who helped make this partnership possible, especially Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams.

Mr. Dadey also acknowledged President Mahama’s vision for sports development in Ghana. He highlighted how investment and collaboration build national pride and nurture future champions.

KGL Group supports grassroots sports through its foundation as well. The group sponsors the Inter-Regional U-17 Colts Championship to foster young talent across Ghana.

Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams praised KGL Group's investment in sports development. He noted that this sponsorship showcases Ghanaian ingenuity and its potential for change.

Kurt Okraku, President of the GFA, expressed gratitude for KGL’s commitment to the Black Stars. He believes their partnership will elevate Ghanaian football further.

As KGL Group begins this new chapter with the Black Stars, they do so with pride and clear values. This renewed partnership was made possible by efforts from Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams and President Mahama’s government.
