Kamaldeen Sulemana's Southampton relegated from English Premier League

Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana is set to return to second-tier football following Southampton’s relegation from the English Premier League.

The Saints' 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on April 6, 2025, sealed their fate with seven games still to play.

Sulemana featured for the full 90 minutes but couldn’t prevent the loss. Southampton has endured a dismal campaign, anchored at the bottom of the table since November, managing just one win in 20 matches.

Despite the club's struggles, Sulemana has remained one of their more promising players, scoring once in 19 league appearances this season.

The 22-year-old joined the club in January 2023 from Ligue 1 side Rennes, where he tallied five goals and two assists in 34 matches.

His future now hangs in the balance amid Southampton’s looming rebuild.
