Karela United appeals for credible officiating and broadcasting transparency in Ghana Premier League survival battle

Karela United FC has made an emotional appeal to the Ghana Football Association (GFA). They want fairness and transparency for the rest of the 2024-25 season. The club is fighting to stay in the Ghana Premier League.

With only three games left, Karela demands fair officiating. They also request live broadcasting of their remaining matches. This will help ensure transparency and protect competition integrity.

The appeal follows a board meeting on Monday. This was after their important 1-0 win over Bibiani Goldstars FC on Sunday. That victory boosted their chances of survival.

Karela is now three points above the relegation zone. They face tough matches against Medeama SC, Young Apostles FC, and Vision FC.

"Our players have shown great spirit and determination," a board member said. "What we need now is equity." He emphasized that final games should be decided on merit.

The club also stressed the importance of live broadcast coverage. "Live TV will promote fairness and accountability," they stated. "Everyone should see what happens on the pitch."

This appeal highlights the pressure on clubs in relegation battles as the season ends. Karela United's focus is not just on themselves but also on protecting league reputation.
