Kevin-Prince Boateng has launched a player agency called Rookie & Champ.
His goal is to mentor young footballers.
Boateng, a former Ghana international, played for clubs like Tottenham, AC Milan, and Barcelona.
He wants to share his experiences—both good and bad—with young talents.
He plans to start in Berlin and expand globally.
At the TransferRoom Summit, Boateng shared a key moment from his career.
“I went pro at eighteen,” he said. “I was full of energy and dreams.”
But ten days after joining Tottenham, the coach told him he wasn’t wanted.
This early setback motivated Boateng to mentor young players.
“Money, fame, the big club—they’re not always the right steps,” he explained.
“That’s why I’m sharing my experience. I want to support my boys.”
With Rookie & Champ, Boateng focuses on mental and emotional preparation too.
“A Rookie & Champ player at eighteen is ready,” he stated.
“He can stand in front of fifty thousand people and take that penalty.”
Reflecting on his past, Boateng said, “If I’d had this support earlier, I’d have played ten years at Real Madrid.”
Now retired from professional football, Boateng aims to build futures for young players.
He wants to shape the next generation into champions—not just rookies.
