Damango MP Samuel Abu Jinapor has expressed confidence in Kofi Adams' ability to revive Ghanaian football, particularly the Black Stars, after their recent struggles.

Adams, 49, was vetted last week and is set to be sworn in by President John Mahama, replacing Mustapha Ussif as Minister of Sports.

His appointment comes after Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 AFCON—their first absence since 2004—after finishing last in their group.

In Parliament, Jinapor praised Adams' political experience and leadership skills, believing he can restore Ghana’s footballing fortunes. Adams is expected to address key issues such as infrastructure, national team funding, and performance improvement.

His leadership will be crucial in rebuilding Ghana’s football reputation and ensuring future international success.
