Kofi Adams congratulates Kurt Okraku on CAF appointment as 2nd Vice President

The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, congratulated Mr. Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku. He was appointed as the 2nd Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

In a statement, Adams called this appointment a "historic" achievement. He said it is a proud moment for Ghana.

Adams praised Mr. Okraku's dedication and leadership. He highlighted Okraku's commitment to growing football in Ghana and Africa.

"This prestigious appointment recognizes your dedication to football development," he stated.

He added that this role gives Ghana a stronger voice in continental football governance.

The Minister noted that Mr. Okraku’s leadership will inspire future sports leaders in Ghana and Africa.

He commended Okraku for his visionary initiatives. These include the "Catch Them Young" refereeing project and zonal football academies.

These efforts have laid a strong foundation for Ghanaian football's future.

Hon. Adams expressed hope that Mr. Okraku’s new role at CAF would bring more opportunities. This includes revitalizing the Ghana Premier League and empowering women's football.

He pledged full support from the Ministry as Mr. Okraku collaborates with stakeholders to uplift African football.
