Teenager Sam Konstas impressed on his Australia debut, scoring 60 from 65 balls with six fours and two sixes in the opening day of the fourth Test against India in Melbourne.
The 19-year-old, Australia’s youngest Test debutant since 1953, clashed with Virat Kohli before being dismissed for lbw by Ravindra Jadeja. Usman Khawaja also contributed with 57, his first half-century in 12 innings.
Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith added 83 runs for the fourth wicket, but Labuschagne's departure for 72 led to a collapse, with Bumrah removing Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh.
Akash Deep later dismissed Alex Carey for 31. Australia finished the day at 311-6, with over 87,000 spectators attending. The series is tied at 1-1.
