Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay expressed his excitement about the immediate start of the second round of the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors will kick off the second half of the season with a match against Karela United in Kumasi on Sunday.

Blay, the club's deputy captain, noted that last season’s campaign was negatively impacted by a break after the first round, which disrupted the team’s rhythm.

He is pleased that this season, there will be no such interruption, helping the team maintain momentum as they pursue the league title.

Blay also confirmed he had signed a one-year contract extension with Kotoko after his previous deal expired in January. He expressed openness to signing another contract if management offers one at the end of the season.

Blay originally joined Kotoko from Medeama SC on loan before making his move permanent.
