Kurt Okraku appointed as CAF vice president

President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku and Fouzi Lekjaa have been appointed as Vice-Presidents of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Simeon-Okraku is the First Vice President, while Lekjaa is the Second. Their appointments were confirmed at an Executive Committee meeting in Accra on April 26, 2025.

Simeon-Okraku leads WAFU Zone B and has shown strong leadership in Ghana. His new role will help shape policies for African football's future.

The newly appointed CAF Vice Presidents are:

- First Vice President: Fouzi Lekjaa (Morocco)
- Second Vice President: Kurt Okraku (Ghana)
- Third Vice President: Pierre-Alain Mounguengui (Gabon)
- Fourth Vice President: Ms Bestine Kazadi Ditabala (Democratic Republic of Congo)
- Fifth Vice President: Feizal Sidat (Mozambique)

Dr. Motsepe announced that Yacine Idriss Diallo has joined the CAF Executive Committee. He is the President of Fédération Ivoirienne de football (“FIF”).

The committee also approved names to fill vacant positions on several CAF Committees:

Organizing Committee for the African Nations Championship (“CHAN”):
President: Mr Pierre-Alain Mounguengui (Gabon)

CAF Technical and Development Committee:
President: Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon)
Vice President: Mr Malouche Belhassen (Tunisia)

CAF Medical Committee:
President: Dr. Mohammed Bouya (Mauritania)
Vice President: Dr. Thulani Ngwenya (South Africa)

Dr. Motsepe thanked outgoing CAF Vice-Presidents for their contributions and leadership during their terms.
