Kurt Okraku directed that I should be reassigned to Local Black Stars – Prof Quartey

Former Black Stars physiotherapist, Prof. Jonathan Quartey, has been reassigned to the Black Galaxies following a directive from Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Kurt Okraku.

Speaking on Prime Take, Quartey revealed his exclusion from the Black Stars’ technical team after its reconstitution post-AFCON 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire.

Despite his contributions to the team, including effective injury management, no reason was provided for his reassignment.

Quartey expressed no grievances, emphasizing his commitment to his new role. Reflecting on his tenure, he highlighted successes achieved under his care and clarified that he holds no insights into the decision to redeploy him.

The GFA informed him of the reassignment via a phone call, citing the upcoming release of the team list.
