Kurt Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has been elected Second Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe announced this during an Executive Council meeting in Accra on April 26, 2025.

Okraku also leads WAFU Zone B and is recognized for his leadership in Ghana and West Africa. His appointment aims to restructure CAF’s leadership after four vice presidents resigned.

Morocco Football Federation President Fouzi Lekjaa is now CAF’s First Vice President. Gabon’s Pierre-Alain Mounguengui has been named Third Vice President. Ms. Bestine Kazadi Ditabala from the Democratic Republic of Congo is the Fourth Vice President, while Mozambique’s Feizal Sidat takes the Fifth Vice President role.

Dr. Motsepe also announced that Yacine Idriss Diallo, from the Fédération Ivoirienne de Football (FIF), has joined the CAF Executive Committee.

Additionally, Pierre-Alain Mounguengui will lead the Organizing Committee for the African Nations Championship (CHAN). Samuel Eto’o heads the CAF Technical and Development Committee, with Tunisia’s Malouche Belhassen as Vice President.

In medical appointments, Dr. Mohammed Bouya from Mauritania is now President of the CAF Medical Committee. South Africa’s Dr. Thulani Ngwenya serves as Vice President of this committee.
