Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has praised referee Daniel Laryea for his international recognition, highlighting his exemplary performance.

Laryea, Ghana’s top referee since joining the FIFA International list in 2014, was among 22 officials awarded FIFA badges for 2025.

Starting his career at 17 in Ghana’s lower leagues, Laryea has officiated in major tournaments, including the 2017 CAF U-17 Cup of Nations, the 2018 WAFU Cup, the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, and the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League final in Morocco.

He also served as Assistant VAR during the 2022 Africa Nations Championship in Algeria.

President Okraku commended Laryea's contributions to Ghana and Africa, noting his consistent performance and positive reputation as a CAF Elite Referee adept in center duty and VAR.
