Kurt Okraku’s presence at CAF Executive Committee positive for Ghana football – Frederick Acheampong

Frederick Acheampong, a member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council, believes Kurt Okraku's appointment to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Council will greatly benefit Ghanaian football.

Okraku, the GFA President, secured a spot on CAF’s decision-making body during the 14th CAF Extraordinary General Assembly on March 12, 2025.

Acheampong highlighted that Okraku faced no competition for the role and expressed confidence that his election would positively impact Ghana's football.

With this appointment, Okraku will play a key role in shaping the future of African football, giving Ghana a stronger voice in important decisions.

He also continues to serve as the President of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B.
