Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Okraku, thanked former GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi for his support following Okraku’s election to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee.

Okraku expressed gratitude for Nyantakyi’s encouragement and acknowledged the significant responsibility ahead.

He was elected unopposed for a four-year term (2025-2029), marking a key milestone in his leadership of Ghanaian football since 2019.

His tenure has focused on improving transparency, supporting grassroots and women’s football, and prioritizing youth development.

Okraku’s new role at CAF is expected to enhance Ghana’s influence in African football and contribute to the sport's growth across the continent. He becomes the sixth Ghanaian to serve on the CAF Executive Committee.
