Kurt Okraku visits Ghana U-15 team after Mondialito tournament victory

On Tuesday, representatives from the Ghana Football Association visited the National U15 squad. This included President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku. They celebrated the team's return from the 2025 Mondialito Promise Tournament. The young athletes won the championship with a 4-1 victory against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The team started strong, defeating Maccabi Tel Aviv’s U15 side 4-1 in their first match. They then dominated Maccabi Bnei Eilat, winning 8-0. This established their dominance early in the tournament.

Next, they outperformed Maccabi Petah Tikva with a 2-0 win. They also overwhelmed Hapoel Tel Aviv, winning 4-0 to reach the final. In the rematch against Maccabi Tel Aviv, Coach Yaw Preko’s players excelled again, winning 4-1 to claim the trophy.

During his visit, President Simeon-Okraku joined in the celebrations. He took a photo with the squad to commemorate their achievement and shared it on Facebook. He congratulated both players and Coach Yaw Preko for their success.

He encouraged them to stay disciplined and committed to excellence. He also stated that the Football Association is dedicated to providing youth teams with international experience against strong opponents.

Additionally, the Ghana Football Association plans more matches for team development. This will help ensure a smooth transition into Ghana's other national teams.
