Ghanaian forward Kwasi Okyere Wriedt has signed with Alemannia Aachen. The club competes in Germany’s 3. Liga. Wriedt aims to reignite his career with regular football.
The 30-year-old striker joins Aachen for an undisclosed fee. He played 17 games and scored three goals for Şanlıurfaspor in Turkey's First League. Previously, he spent two seasons in the 2. Bundesliga with Holstein Kiel.
Wriedt is a powerful and experienced attacker. He has played for Bayern Munich II, Willem II, and VfL Osnabrück. Alemannia Aachen confirmed the signing on their official channels.
The club is excited to have a forward of Wriedt’s caliber. They see him as key to their promotion push for the 2024/25 season. Wriedt gained prominence as the top scorer in the 3. Liga during the 2019/20 season.
His performances earned him a call-up to the Ghana national team. He has made several appearances for the Black Stars. Despite quieter recent seasons, Wriedt remains a proven goal-scorer at this level.
He aims to recapture his past form as a consistent striker. The move to Alemannia Aachen offers him regular football and leadership opportunities. He hopes to help one of Germany’s historic clubs climb back up the ladder.
