Ignatius Osei-Fosu, assistant coach of the Sudan national team, has revealed that head coach Kwesi Appiah dreams of qualifying Sudan for the World Cup.
Currently top of Group B in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with 10 points from four matches, Sudan is set to face Senegal and South Sudan later this month.
Osei-Fosu credited Appiah’s vast experience, which previously helped Ghana qualify for the 2014 World Cup, as key to Sudan’s successful AFCON qualification for 2025.
Appiah’s leadership continues to drive the team forward, and they will play their upcoming qualifiers against Senegal and South Sudan at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya.
