Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi has expressed disappointment with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for not intervening in his ongoing legal troubles.
Nyantakyi, who faces corruption charges linked to the "#Number 12 exposé" by journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, had hoped the NPP would support him by withdrawing the case, citing his involvement in the party and his bid to contest the Ejisu parliamentary seat.
In an interview, he lamented the emotional and financial toll of the five-year legal battle.
Despite pleading not guilty to fraud and corruption charges, Nyantakyi is still in court. The case was adjourned to October 16, 2024, pending the outcome of an appeal.
