Aduana Stars General Manager, Takyi Arhin, has expressed sympathy for former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi, stating that his downfall could have happened to anyone.
Nyantakyi was implicated in Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ 'Number 12' exposé, which led to charges of conspiracy to commit fraud and corruption.
However, he was recently discharged by Ghana’s High Court due to the prosecution's failure to present Anas as a witness.
Arhin acknowledged the exposé’s impact on Ghanaian football but urged understanding, stating, “We are thieves, but when you are not caught, you are not a thief.”
He criticized how people react when one of their own faces trouble and believes Nyantakyi has learned from his mistakes. The exposé led to Nyantakyi losing his roles at GFA, CAF, and WAFU.
