Leicester City manager Steve Cooper has revealed that Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew could be available for their Premier League clash against Chelsea this weekend.
Ayew sustained an injury during Ghana's 1-1 draw with Angola in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, where he scored a stunning free-kick, and missed the subsequent match against Niger.
Upon returning to Leicester for evaluation, it was determined that Ayew's injury is less severe than initially feared. Cooper stated, "It's not a serious injury... The hope is he may be available for the weekend."
Ayew joined Leicester during the summer after seven years with Crystal Palace and has been influential, scoring two goals in 10 Premier League appearances. His potential return boosts Leicester’s hopes ahead of the critical Chelsea encounter.
