Robert Lewandowski's 16th La Liga goal of the season wasn't enough to secure victory as Barcelona were held to a 2-2 draw by Real Betis.
Despite Lewandowski converting Jules Koundé's cross to finish a well-crafted team move, Betis equalized through Giovani Lo Celso's penalty after Frenkie de Jong fouled Vitor Roque. Substitute Ferran Torres restored Barca’s lead, but Betis’ 19-year-old Assane Diao scored a dramatic injury-time equalizer.
Betis threatened early, with Diego Llorente's header cleared off the line and Abde Ezzalzouli’s shot saved, while Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal missed a clear chance.
Barcelona's draw hampers their title race, leaving them five points ahead of Real Madrid, who have two games in hand. Barca next face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on December 13.
