Lewis Hamilton: Ferrari move was about gut feeling, taking risk

Lewis Hamilton explained his decision to join Ferrari, driven by a gut feeling and the desire for a new challenge, as he aims to help return the iconic team to glory.

After leaving Mercedes, where he won six of his seven world championships, Hamilton made his debut with Ferrari in a test drive at their Maranello base. He acknowledged that switching teams involved risk but felt that staying in a comfortable environment could lead to complacency.

Despite Ferrari's lack of a driver’s title since 2007, Hamilton believes the team has immense potential and is eager to work with the talented people there. The new F1 season begins with the Australian Grand Prix in mid-March.
