A Madina District Court has remanded a businessman in connection with the 2019 murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale.
The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, was arraigned on Tuesday, March 19, 2025, and ordered into custody pending further investigations.
The prosecution informed the court that the businessman is a key suspect in the case and is believed to have played a role in Suale’s assassination.
However, details regarding his involvement were not disclosed during the proceedings.
The journalist, who was a key member of Anas Aremeyaw Anas' Tiger Eye P.I., was shot dead in Accra in January 2019. His murder sparked national and international calls for justice.
The case has been adjourned, with the court set to hear further submissions as investigators continue their work.
