Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes overcame a late injury concern as his team secured a 30-24 overtime victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, maintaining their perfect season record.
Mahomes completed 291 passing yards and threw three touchdowns without any interceptions, while running back Kareem Hunt scored the decisive two-yard touchdown, leading the Chiefs to an 8-0 record at home.
Despite rolling his ankle in the previous week's game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Mahomes managed to deliver a touchdown pass to Samaje Perine, which tied the game at 17-17 early in the fourth quarter, even as he limped after evading pressure.
