Man City's Dias ruled out for 'three or four weeks'

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that central defender Ruben Dias will be out for three to four weeks due to a muscle injury sustained in the 2-1 loss to Manchester United.

Dias will miss the festive fixtures and potentially the FA Cup match against Salford on 11 January, and may struggle to be fit for the Champions League game against Paris St-Germain.

This injury adds to City's already extensive defensive injury list. Guardiola also confirmed that defenders John Stones and Manuel Akanji, along with midfielder Mateo Kovacic, have returned to training.

Despite City's recent struggles, Guardiola reaffirmed that young players James McAtee and Nico O'Reilly will stay, and emphasized his commitment to the team despite the ongoing challenges.
