Man United Woes Continue as Red Devils lose to South East Asia All Stars

Manchester United's head coach, Ruben Amorim, believes his players needed the boos after their 1-0 loss to ASEAN All-Stars. The team flew 6,600 miles to Malaysia after a Premier League win over Aston Villa. Unfortunately, they faced more challenges in Kuala Lumpur.

In hot and humid conditions above 30 degrees, United struggled to convert chances. They made regular substitutions and used 25 outfield players during the match.

A second-half goal from Myanmar winger Maung Maung Lwin secured victory for the South East Asia XI. The match had an official attendance of 72,550 at Bukit Jalil Stadium. Many fans booed at the final whistle after paying up to £260 for tickets.

Amorim expressed guilt about the team's performance since he joined. He noted that the boos might be necessary for improvement. He acknowledged that fans supported them despite losses in the Premier League.

United finished 15th in the Premier League with only 42 points. This is considered their worst season since relegation in 1973-74. They also lost the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur, missing out on next season's Champions League.
