Bruno Fernandes has turned down a big offer from Al-Hilal.
The Saudi Pro-League club wanted to double his salary at Manchester United. Fernandes is one of the highest earners at United.
After discussing it with his family, he decided not to join Al-Hilal.
He is expected to address this situation in a press conference on Tuesday. This will happen before Portugal's Nations League semi-final on Wednesday.
Manchester United is pleased with Fernandes' decision. Their head coach, Ruben Amorim, believed he would stay at Old Trafford.
There were no direct talks between United and Al-Hilal. Therefore, United never received a formal bid.
Al-Hilal was reportedly ready to offer £80m to £100m for him. They wanted to sign the 30-year-old before this month's Club World Cup.
It remains unclear if Al-Hilal will look for other players now.
Since joining from Sporting in January 2020 for £47m, Fernandes has made 290 appearances and scored 98 goals for United.
