Manchester United reportedly values midfielder Kobbie Mainoo at £70m amid stalled contract negotiations.

Mainoo, who signed a £20,000-a-week deal in February 2023, has attracted interest from Chelsea, who are reportedly leading the race to sign the 19-year-old. While United does not want to sell Mainoo, whose contract runs until 2027 with an option for one more year, they are aware of the financial benefit a sale would bring, especially under Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Despite interest from Chelsea, United plans to offer Mainoo a lucrative new contract in recognition of his rise to a key first-team role. However, their initial proposal reportedly left Mainoo unhappy.
