Former GFA Communications Director Tamimu Issah has criticized the management committee system in Ghana football, labeling it outdated and ineffective.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Issah argued that the current setup does not align with modern football management practices, suggesting that the coach should serve as the team's manager within a streamlined structure.
His remarks follow the dissolution of the Black Stars management committee by the GFA Executive Council after the team's poor performance in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers. Ghana finished last in Group F with three points, marking their first AFCON absence in 20 years.
The GFA plans to form a new committee to oversee future engagements, as the Black Stars shift focus to the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, resuming in March 2025.
