Manchester City ‘closing in’ on deal for Real Madrid target for January move

Real Madrid’s search for a young central defender continues as Manchester City closes in on two of their top targets.

After losing out on Leny Yoro, Real Madrid now faces competition from City, who have reportedly agreed personal terms with Vitor Reis of Palmeiras.

Additionally, City is nearing a deal for RC Lens center-back Abdukodir Khusanov, with talks suggesting a transfer fee between €25-40 million for the 20-year-old, who moved from Uzbekistan two years ago.

While Raul Asencio has impressed at Real Madrid, the club appears to be focusing on the transfer market to find a long-term solution for their defense.
