Maresca not worried by Palmer form or body language

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is not worried about Cole Palmer’s recent dip in form despite the forward failing to score in six matches or register an assist in 13.

Maresca emphasized that Palmer, who had a record-breaking 2024 with 26 goals and 13 assists, is simply frustrated by Chelsea’s struggles, having won just two of their last 10 games.

The manager acknowledged Chelsea’s over-reliance on Palmer and stressed the need for the whole team to contribute.

Maresca also confirmed goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen will start against Southampton despite a recent error, while defender Trevoh Chalobah will be out for up to 10 days.
