Asante Kotoko, a top team in the Ghana Premier League, won 4-1 against Adom FC. This friendly match took place at the Adako Jachie training ground on Thursday. It was part of their preparation for the upcoming league clash with Bibiani Gold Stars.
Head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum used this match to assess player performance. He also tested different tactics ahead of Sunday’s important game at Dun’s Park.
Kotoko played well and scored four goals from different players. Defender Patrick Asiedu started the scoring with a great goal. Striker Sampson Eduku then doubled the lead with a precise finish.
Defender Samba O’niel added another goal from close range, making it 3-0. Kwame Opoku capped off the scoring, showing his return to form.
Although Kotoko conceded one goal to Adom FC, they controlled most of the game. Their passing was sharp, and they pressed high with good coordination. The match allowed many squad members to gain valuable playing time as competition for starting spots heats up.
This victory boosts morale for Kotoko as they aim to finish strong this season. They now focus on their trip to Bibiani on Sunday for a crucial match against Gold Stars.
