Mathys Tel performs shock U-turn to accept Tottenham move

Bayern Munich's 19-year-old forward Mathys Tel has agreed to join Tottenham Hotspur on loan, just days after rejecting a permanent move.

Tel, seeking more first-team football, initially attracted interest from multiple clubs, including Spurs, who had a €60m bid accepted by Bayern. However, he turned down the permanent transfer, despite talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

A few days later, Tel changed his stance and agreed to a loan move to Tottenham, which will not include an option to buy, meaning he will return to Bayern in the summer. The loan deal is seen as a significant boost for Spurs, who have struggled in the Premier League this season, and will help manager Ange Postecoglou's efforts to improve the team’s performance.
