The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Medeama SC for obstructing the live broadcast of their January 5, 2025, Ghana Premier League match against Asante Kotoko, citing a violation of Section 42(6) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019.
Medeama SC is accused of denying GFA-accredited media partners access to broadcast the game, breaching league agreements. The GFA released a statement confirming the charge and stated that the club has until January 8, 2025, to respond.
The match itself was notable not only for its on-field competitiveness but also for the off-field controversy surrounding the broadcast disruption.
