Memphis Depay plans friendly match between Corinthians and Asante Kotoko

Dutch international Memphis Depay has announced plans to organize a friendly match between his Brazilian club, Corinthians, and Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.

While in Ghana for the holidays, Depay visited Kotoko’s training grounds in Adako Jachie on Thursday, offering words of encouragement to the players. He praised their effort, saying, “I like what I see, and I encourage you to keep going. Never give up. I respect all of you.”

Depay shared his vision of bridging continents through football, revealing, “I’m working on arranging something for the team, maybe a friendly match against my team (Corinthians) in Brazil.” Kotoko, currently 5th in the Ghana Premier League, aims to close the gap with 2nd-placed GoldStars.
