Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta confirmed that 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri will be sidelined for a few weeks due to a muscular injury sustained during the Brighton match.
Nwaneri had filled in for the injured Bukayo Saka, who is recovering from hamstring surgery, and made his first Premier League start against Brentford. However, he was substituted at half-time against Brighton, raising concerns about his fitness.
Arteta did not provide further details on Nwaneri's return but highlighted the challenges for Arsenal, with Saka out until March. The injury could prompt increased responsibility for Leandro Trossard and Raheem Sterling, who is recovering from a knee injury. Arsenal face a busy fixture schedule in January, including matches against top teams like Manchester United and Tottenham.
